A High-Performance renovation, that took an early 1980’s home into modern architecture and Near Zero energy building.

Coast Essential conducted all architectural design work, Construction management and services to this project.

A unique renovation that took an approach to achieve green built Canada platinum certification. Complete remodel and restructure to improve views and entertaining as well hitting deep energy efficiency targets.

Before

Custom cabinetry, architectural lighting design, 8.5 kw solar system, drain water recovery, C02 hot water heat pump and high efficiency heat pump heating, 2-sided infinity edge pool with hot tub and new landscaping are just a few key elements to this project.

This project also was accepted into the ZEBX near zero emissions building programme for future case study. Energuide rating of 22 GJ per year and .1 tons of C02. A typical house is 105GJ per year.
